ICIA chose to use a two-day facilitated meeting with members of the AV community. In an effort to ensure the data collected was not swayed by personal experience, ICIA decided to ask an independent contractor. This open forum approach was intended to foster interaction between the participants and foster ideas and encourage the identification of needs that may be shared across AV Technology Manager positions.
By the end of the two-day facilitated sessions, ICIA had a list of AV training topics and their applicable terminal objectives. A training development plan was created using the outcome of this facilitation event.
My deliverable was a Technology Needs Assessment that included the following sections:
- Executive Summary
- Facilitated Session Data Collected
- Ranking Analysis
- Areas of Technology Manager Responsibility
